The Perfect Outfit(s) for New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve… I have to admit here I am not a great fan. I detest fireworks and have vivid memories of trying to dodge them while cycling to work when I was younger. Still, it is a great excuse to dress up and go all out with your outfit, makeup, and hair! This post will cover my perfect outfit, and in the coming days I will also post a makeup look and fitting nails to welcome 2015.

So I cheated a little…by giving you two great dresses. I absolutely adore the bright pink lace dress on the right, but it is not a shape which flatters my body so I wouldn’t actually wear it in real life. The red dress on the left is perhaps a tiny bit less special, but has a great retro style silhouette which looks great on my hourglass figure. Either dress would make a great statement for New Year’s Eve. To keep all attention on the dress, I have chosen simple yet sophisticated accessories. You can find the links to all items shown here at the end of the post below the Dutch section.

Perfect choice of dresses. I’d totally go for both!! However, I’ll be spending the new year with my kitties and siblings on the couch while we binge watch netflix. Also, I hate fireworks. I spend the whole time blocking my ears. I’d rather watch them on mute tbh.

That sounds like a great New Year’s Eve, but I agree the dresses would be a bit over the top 🙂
Not only do I hate the sound fireworks make, but it is essentially the same every year… 😉

I agree Anne – I’m afraid my curves wouldn’t hold out to such a cut but hey, nothing wrong with window shopping right? hehe 😀 Actually going out for a meal with my family and then back to mums house to ring in the bells. Very chilled 🙂 What about yourself? Are you out on the town? xo

          Oh that sounds great 🙂
I was planning to just lounge around at my parents, but I have been feeling a bit under the weather these last couple of days, so I might just make it my own couch 🙂

New Years curled up on the couch seems a might good idea to me – sometimes we all just need those cosy nights in. Whatever you get up to enjoy it – and if we don’t speak before hand wishing you a very happy 2015 🙂 Xo xo

Definitely. It also means I can avoid the scary and obnoxious firework!
Best wishes for 2015 for you and the entire family!

I am so in love with the dress on the left! I love fit and flare dresses. It’s a style that flatters all shapes and sizes. Also, it’s red so it wins bonus points. 😉 Lovely choices, Anne! 😀
