Body Shop: Moringa Beautifying Oil

The Body Shop has a lovely assortment of skincare and makeup, but I always gravitate towards the body care section. Who doesn’t have one of their body butters or scrubs?! The Beautifying oils are a little different: they can actually be used for your body, face, and hair. I have the Moringa version, which has a sweet smell and combines Moringa Seed oil with Kukui, Sweet Almond and Marula oil. So, what is the verdict?

I absolutely love it as a body oil. It sinks into the skin quickly and doesn’t feel greasy or leave any residue yet moisturizes better then normal body butters or lotions. I love to use this in the winter months when my skin is extremely dry or after shaving. I was rather hesitant to use this on my face, however, due to the perfumed smell. In fact, fragrance is on of the first listed ingredients meaning there is quite a lot in there. I wouldn’t put it anywhere near my sensitive face and haven’t even bothered trying (I can pretty much guarantee it will result in angry red cheeks, something I have been working hard on avoiding this winter). I have briefly tried it in the tips of my hair, but found it way to greasy for my thin hair. Might work if you have very dry hair, but otherwise I would recommend against using it as a hair oil.

All of this doesn’t mean I don’t love this product: just use it on your body as a moisturiser and ignore the other possibilities. These come in a variety of different smells, so if you are not a fan of a sweet floral smell you can pick another one.

I think the mistake was getting involved with their loyalty cards, it was like competition to finish the card within the year to get the free £10 at the end. A risky error on my behalf! Xxx

Haven’t been in Body Shop in a while (I’ve been substituting with Yves Rocher lately) but really need a good body oil for this cold. Good to know about this one.

Ooh I have seen these in stores but always keep putting it off because it’s an oil… I always assume it’ll be greasy and hard to get rid of! I love the idea of them and some of the scents are amazing! Great post as always Hun xxx

      Thanks so much 😀
I had expected exactly the same thing: greasy and just not very convenient but it sinks in fast without any nasty residue 🙂

Klinkt goed!
