the 15 Questions Tag

15-questions tag

The lovely Karen from Confetti and Curves tagged me to answer these 15 questions! You can check out her fun answers right here.

So without further ado, lets do this. Fifteen answers to quite tricky questions coming right up.

1) What do you think you can do but can’t?

Be a spontaneous traveller! I travel a lot, for work and fun, but I find it hard not to plan. I don’t mind booking something last minute or not knowing exactly what we will be doing, but I do just have to arrange a flight and hotel at the same time and pre-plan our transport to/from the airport. None of that ‘will figure out were to sleep later’ nonsense ;).

 2) What’s a difficult word for you to pronounce?

Anesthetize… not that I use it that often, but I always have to think about it several times.

3) What are your favourite TV shows from your childhood?

O, where to start. Biker Mice from Mars, the Power Rangers (I was the yellow ranger during our play ground reenactments), Earthworm Jim. But my all time favorite would have to be Pinky and the Brain!

Pinky: Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?

Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky – try to take over the world!

4) What are your virtues and vices?

I would say I am very loyal to my friends, but the downside is that once my trust is broken it is almost impossible to win back.

5) What’s more important: love, fame, power, or money?

Love! Any one answering that question differently needs a priority check.

 6) If you could live in any era/time period, when would it be and why?

Well, I certainly would not like to go tooo far back; as an archaeologist I am often confronted with the downsides such as nasty diseases, horrible hygiene, dreadful living conditions… maybe Victorian England, as I have always wanted a good excuse to wear something like this:

 7) If you had to redo your entire wardrobe with 2 stores, what would they be and why?

Definitely H&M. They just do amazing basics and fun fashion items for a great price, meaning I can switch it up and buy new stuff on a regular basis without feeling guilty. Probably Vanilla (a great Dutch mid-range retailer, similar to Warehouse/Coast) for pretty dresses and high quality woolen coats (my secret addiction).

 8) Can you recall what you were doing a year ago on this day?

Celebrating my mom’s birthday! It was actually yesterday, but we seem to continuously fail to celebrate it on the proper day.

9) Do you have reoccurring dreams? If so, explain?

Yes, there is a horrible one in which I slowly lose all of my teeth. This one tends to return when I am about to make big life decisions on the future. According to dream interpreters this points to anxiety and moments of transition. Not sure I believe them, but strangely some of my friends have had this dream as well.

10) What’s your horoscope?

I am a Capricorn. Ambitious, determined, stubborn…totally me.

11) What does your dream bedroom look like?

A big floor to ceiling window with beautiful lace curtains, pretty light blue walls, white furniture, and a little nook to do my makeup. I would also love a big old chair to sit and read.

12) What position do you sleep in?

I always sleep on my belly, hugging my pillow with my arms. I don’t know how people sleep on their back: I only ever do when I am having a cold and simply can’t breathe otherwise, but it makes me feel so weird.

13) What are your all time favorite films?

Like most people my age, I vividly remember seeing the Lord of the Rings Trilogy in the cinema and later doing an extended edition marathon at a friends place (why?!). I wasn’t a particular SF fan, but they just had such a great vibe surrounding them.

And linking back to the question about childhood series, I can’t forget to mention the 1950’s trilogy about Empress Sissi featuring Romi Schneider. This was on Dutch tv every single Christmas when I was younger and it must have driven my parents completely mad each year.

14) What makeup are you currently wearing?

Max Factor Facefinity primer

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation – Deauville

Chanel Poudre Libre Universelle – 20 Clair

Zoeva Luxe Color Blush – Gentle Touch

Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadow – Nude Pink

Essence Stays No Matter What Eyeliner – black

Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara – black

15) Do you have neat handwriting? Show us!

This must be a trick question, because my hand writing varies a lot depending on my mood. Here is my happy, readable and understandable version:

    Hey 🙂

Such wonderful answers! I love the period of Victorian England.
Also, H&M is probably the store I’d pick too… they have everything: from basic to dressy to sportswear… everything!

I highly doubt it. It seems people have become less creative with shows. 😉
