Toner is a much debated step in the skincare routine. Many claim it has little to no effect on your skin and although I totally agree with them, I still use a toner every day. Why? Because a little spritz of toner just feels so nice and refreshing.
I really like the Lush Eau Roma toner, essentially a combination of rose and lavender, but I was craving something different after using several bottles. I settled on the Melvita Damask Rose Floral Water. This certified organic rose water is £16/€22 for a 200 ml bottle.
It comes in a beautiful blue bottle that looks lovely on your dresser. The convenient spray allows you to spritz a fine mist directly on your face or alternatively you could spray onto a cotton pad and swipe this over your face.
I just love rose water: it has hydrating and soothing properties that make it suitable for all skin types but above all it just smells divine.
A nice little tip is to keep your bottle in the fridge during hot weather, to create an even more refreshing sensation.
What do your think: is toner a necessity or a luxury?

Oh it is really nice 😀 I have been meaning to try the famous Queen of Hungary one, but haven’t gotten around to it. That one sounds amazing as well, but perhaps a little pricy for a face mist.

it is expensive indeed! but one bottle lasts me for a good couple of months and we’re daily usage here! so definitely worth the investment!

Really like Rose Water too! I used to use it a lot when younger then forgot about it completely for many yrs. Just started again and loving it. Not only is it so refreshing and cooling but if applied on a cotton pad it also removes make up even more & is also a v effective and gentle eye make up remover.

Very true, it is such a nice and versatile product 🙂 Do you have a particular favorite brand? xx

Yes, true! Can’t say I have a favourite in mind as I’ve only tried 2 really. One was of Dermalogica, but that was yes ago. It was quite nice though. Currently I’m using one from ‘Roberts’. It’s very cheap and good 🙂 Will do a review soon! Which is your favourite from the ones you’ve tired?

I used to use a toner but I must admit I haven’t recently, I usually just splash my face with cold water after cleansing to tighten my pores. I do miss how refreshing toner is though, this one sounds beautiful.xx

The water works just as well, but I just love the way a toner makes me feel 🙂 I always miss them if I run out 😉
