Time for another round of Empties: the Skincare Edition

May has just flown by, so it is time to look at the products I finished this month. For some reason, they all happen to be organic skincare products. As usual, I will give a mini review here and link you back to the original post in case you want to know a little more.

Lush Eau Roma Water

This amazing combination of rose and lavender water has been my trusted toner for several years. I love the simplicity, decent price, and amazing scent. The only minor downside for me is the added perfume: surely there is no need for that?! Check out my original review here.

Aveda Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant

This is a liquid exfoliating toner using Salicylic Acid. The toner provides a chemical exfoliation of your face, giving you a brighter and clearer complexion. I much prefer this type of exfoliant to an actual scrub: it is much more effective yet softer. This Aveda Exfoliant is a great mild starting point if you haven’t tried chemical exfoliants yet. Read more about it here.

balance Me Cleanse and Sooth Face Balm

I am a big fan of cleansers and the balance Me products, but this one just isn’t for me. It is a lovely balm texture, but unfortunately it has added oatmeal particles that give an extra scrub. The big particles are just too much for my skin. I have reviewed it here, but I wouldn’t repurchase it.

Trilogy Mineral Radiance Mask

This is an amazing kaolin clay mask with rosehip oil. The clay mask leaves your skin feeling super clean and the addition of the rosehip oil helps prevent it from being to drying. The mask itself doesn’t do much on the hydrating front, but follow this with a great facial oil and your skin will look radiant. You can read more about it here.

may organic skincare emptiesMy love of organic skincare really shows through in this post, even though not all products were equally loved. Is organic ingredients something you look at when purchasing skincare or are you more concerned with the results of the products? Do let me know!

Lush Eau Roma Water

Lees mijn originele review hier terug.

Aveda Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant

balance Me Cleanse and Sooth Face Balm

Trilogy Mineral Radiance Mask

Laat het me weten.

I’d love to try Lush’s toner water, but I think I’d be so turned off by the scent. Have you ever tried any of their other toner waters?

I used to love the Tea Tree water when I was younger and my skin was a little oilier. That one is nice and fresh and great against impurities as well. I haven’t personally tried the other one, but my Mom has it and loves it. You really just can’t go wrong with these πŸ™‚

Great post Anne, you’ve got some lovely empties there. It’s a shame about the lush added fragrance, I wouldn’t have thought they’d do that xxxx

I know: it smells divine, but you would think that the rose and lavender water would be fine on their own.

Fab post. Loving that Lush toner,I might have to try it out. Recently I’ve been thinking about going down the organic route for beauty products,my skin reacts badly to too many chemicals so maybe it’s time to try a new approach x

I love organic stuff. I am not a die-hard by any means and I have the occasional normal product, but my skin just reacts so much better when the majority is organic! And there are so many lovely brands to try πŸ˜€ xxx
