A little bit of magic: Pixi Glow Tonic

Pixi Glow Tonic: this bright orange miracle water has been featured on many a beauty blog. Endorsed by no one other than Caroline Hirons, this is a classic case of ‘blogger-made-me-buy-it’.

Pixi Glow Tonic

The glow tonic is a liquid exfoliator – sometimes known as a acid toner – that provides a gentle exfoliation using acidic ingredients in stead of actual particles. The microbeads used in traditional scrubs are not just awful for the environment, but they can often be too much for those with sensitive skins.

Pixi Glow Tonic

I have been using a chemical toner for a while now, because I really see the benefits for my skin. It does help against dullness, but for me the main benefit is the way it battles impurities. Regular use of an acid toner significantly reduces the amount of pimples I suffer from.

Pixi Glow Tonic is a very mild acid toner, that could be used daily if you wish. I tend to use it every other night, as my skin seems to prefer this, but this is really dependent on your own skin so just experiment a little.Pixi Glow Tonic

This is truly one of those products that don’t seem to do that much, until you stop using it. I left the Glow Tonic behind on a weekend trip, thinking I wouldn’t miss it for couple of days but my skin immediately looked less clear.

The Pixi Glow Tonic is very efficient: a little goes a long way. Just remember to steer clear of the eye area and to ensure you wear a proper sunscreen.

Problem is they go so slow right?! I bought this one in December but still had to finish my others first.

It is so tricky to get! I just wish they would have more sales points, although they are finally expanding online.

I’ve been wanting to try this for awhile now but haven’t had a chance to yet as I’ve still got to get through my toner from Lush and another that I’m in the process of reviewing.

Hmm, very different toners though. I use both: first the exfoliating toner and than a spritz of the hydrating one to rebalance the skin.
Which Lush toner did you pick? I love them all.

This time I’ve gone for the Tea Tree Water as tea tree seems to work really well with my skin so thought I’d give it a try. So far, so good! Before that though, I’d been using Eau Roma Water which I love.

Ah I love both! I used to have the Tea Tree water in my teens but switched to Eau Roma in my twenties. Really can’t go wrong with Lush toners πŸ™‚

It is a great exfoliating one. I personally use a spritz of normal toner afterwards just to freshen up. xxx

Whoops, totally forgot to mention that. It is 18 pounds for 250 ml, which is a massive amount that will last you a long time.
