Fifty shades of Blue/Grey/Green

I will be moving soon, not sure I mentioned this already πŸ˜‰ It seems to be all I talk about these days, so my apologies for rambling on about it.

I will receive the keys in two weeks time, so my interior design obsession is currently in full swing. I spend last weekend rambling through Ikea (what did people do before Ikea, you wonder… also the free coffee must rate as one of their best ideas ever) and am slowly figuring out what I need and want.

That lovely yellow chair is high on my wishlist, though I might chicken out and go for grey.Β I also love the idea of these retro multi colored chairs around a big wooden table in my kitchen. Now to find them somewhere for an affordable price.

My absolute obsession whenever I move or redecorate is paint colors. I am very difficult with colors and remember being so frustrated when moving into my last place until I discovered English paint brands like Farrow&Ball, Sanderson and Little Greene. There is something about the English heritage inspired colors that makes me fall in love every time.

I am currently debating on the exact shade of blue-gray I want on my living room walls. I think I want to go blue, but I am also still in love with their greenish blue shades including Mizzle which is on my walls right now. This will be tricky, but I am sure it will be quite clear once I see the samples in the living room.

The color in the top left, Oval Room Blue, is my current top choice for the bedroom, but I might still shift that to a greener hue depending on my choice in the living room.

I clearly have some way to go, but it is slowly coming together. I seem to be drawn to a modern interpretation of retro, but we will see how it ends up. Let me know what you think of the style and especially the colors!

I like top light-light-blue-grey. I don’t like greenish shade as I stay now in apartment which has some shade of green bedroom. This color doesn’t feel cosy at all. I like green shade for some decor but not for walls.:) But it’s me:)

That top one is very pretty right?!
For me, it all depends on the green: I prefer the really old fashioned green with lots of blue and grey undertones. But you are right, some green is just hidious on the walls.

Ooh, planning out a look for a new space is so much fun! I love those retro chairs…as for the paint colors, I’m personally partial to the blue one in the top center. Sooo pretty! I’m excited to see how it all turns out!

I know, I am having way too much fun πŸ˜€
The color choice will be a bit tricky, but I am sure it will resolve itself once I step into the room with my swatches.
Hope you have a lovely weekend πŸ˜€
