Terrific Top Coats: Part 1 Essence Nude Dots

I love pinning amazing pieces of nail art on my inspiration board, but if I am totally honest I am always too lazy and clumsy to make decent nail art myself. That is why I absolutely adore fun top coats to spice up my nails and make it look like I’ve spend hours on them. In this series, I will be talking you through my favorite top coats each week, starting with an amazing budget version from Essence.

I will start the series of with the Nude Dots top coat in 28 Truth or Dare? It has white and beige speckles varying in size from tiny to quite large. The colors make this a quite grow-up top coat that can be combined with almost any polish. I also really like the size differences in the particles, this makes every nail slightly different.

I combined it with Rimmel’s Rose Libertine 405 for a fun summer look in this post, but I recently wore it over dark blue in another great combination much more suited for winter. I love this versatile top coat, what do you think?

I love the look of those together! I haven’t ever tried Essence nail polish but I am just starting to get into their lipstick and blush. 🙂 xo

Same here, I happen to love their eye pencils and liquid liners, but have recently branched out into lip and nails 🙂 Very nice brand for the price!

Actually, I never have that problem with any polish. I always use my Essie quick dry top coat which seals the topcoat to the base layers and makes all my polish come off in one go (I know I am not explaining it right, but it is tricky to eplain)…
means I never have to fight to remove it, as I simply peel it off. xxx

Think it works with any fast drying formula: they glue the layers together to make them dry quicker. Means they chip a little sooner, but makes glitter polish so much easier to remove.
