Worth the hype? First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads

These facial radiance pads by First Aid Beauty made quite a splash in the blogging scene and I was curious to see if I liked them just as much as my favorite bloggers…

The cute little jar contains 28 pre-soaked pads that are meant to exfoliate, tone and brighten. The instructions are simply: wipe across your face once or twice a day after cleansing. I would add that you should be a little careful with the area around your eyes, as this does contain acid. This little jar will set you back $15/£10/€15 and if you are a fan you can also buy a bigger version with 60 pads.

The formula uses acid (AHA) for the exfoliation, but doesn’t contain nasty unnecessary ingredients such as alcohol or parabens. I am a big fan of using acid exfoliants as they keep my skin clear and seem to irritate my sensitive skin less than scrubs. The facial radiance pads are very mild, containing only a minimal amount of acid so no irritating stinging sensations. Even so, I personally don’t use them daily but every other evening as this seems to be enough for my skin.

The packaging gets a big thumbs up for convenience: this is great for travel and just very easy to grab at night. Overall, a great product at a decent price. Certainly worth a shot if you have been hesitant about chemical toners and want to know what all the fuss is about.

Thanks Lauren! They are just great right?! Not much different from my beloved pixi glow tonic, just a little more convenient 😀 Happy to hear they work well for you 🙂

No bother 🙂 So good! Ooo I so need to try the Pixi Glow! It sounds so good and perfect for my skin! I actually heard that Pixi were doing a similar ideas with the pads for their Pixi Glow! Not sure if they have launched it yet or not?

I head the same thing! I think they are launching new stuff in autumn, so either it is already out or will be soon 🙂

I tried these once! I liked them as a toner, but can’t say I really noticed any radiance after using them. I think I still have some, perhaps I will give them another try 🙂

They are very mild, so they won’t make much difference depending on your skin type. Maybe try a stronger exfoliating toner?
      Have a great weekend 🙂

It’s quite pricey for what it is but I suppose it’s the convenience factor. I swear by the Paula’s Choice Weekly Resurfacing Treatment which is 10% AHA and it makes my skin glow.

Oh it is the convenience. I have a normal bottle of AHA toner as well and use that now, saving these up for travel 😀 xxx

Thanks Jodi! These are very mild, so great for sensitive skins…if these are too much, give up on the chemical toners all together 😉

I was looking at buying these last week but wasn’t sure if they were worth the hype! This post has really helped me out! Have they dried yours skin out any? Xx

I think they are worth the hype, although the ease of the presoaked pads makes them slightly more expensive in use than Pixi Glow Tonic for example.
My skin is relatively dry but these haven’t been drying Of course I only use them every other night, so that might help.
      Hope this helps 🙂

This is good to know! I think I might treat myself to some when it’s pay day😜 I think if I used them every other night they wouldn’t dry my skin out either! Thanks for the help xx

These pads reminds me of the travel-friendly nail polish remover pads and I am so surprised to see the triple effects of exfoliate, tone and brighten in just one single pad and also fuss-free. Great and I would definitely check it out.https://lifestylebites3.wordpress.com

Oh yes, these are very convenient 🙂 It would be cheaper to simply get a bottle of toner like Pixi Glow, but for travel these are perfect.
