Triple Treat: Liz Earle Cleanse&Polish Beauty Trio

Cleanse&Polish surely is one of the most iconic cleansers among skincare aficionados. The classic mint packaging and fresh smell combine with effective make-up removal to create a staple product. When Liz Earle released a Beauty Trio consisting of three limited edition fragrances contained in a pretty celebratory tin I knew I had to have it (some of you might know about my secret love of pretty tins and my not-so-secret obsession with cleansers).

The set contains three 100 ml Cleanse&Polish pumps: Orange Flower&Chamomile, Grapefruit&Patchouli, and Rose&Lavender. It also comes with two muslin cloths you soak in hot water and use to remove the cleanser after you have massaged it into your skin.

These limited editions are very similar to the original Cleanse&Polish: just as effective and works for most skin types. I personally found the fragrance was fine on my sensitive skin, but you may want to test this just to be sure – sensitivities come in so many varieties – as the fragrances are definitely present.

Originally I figured Rose& Lavender would be my favorite, given my love of rose scented anything. However, after trying out all three the winner for me is Grapefruit&Patchouli. The scent is a great combination of fresh citrus with musky patchouli. The lavender is definitely too present for me in the Rose&Lavender variant, as often happens. Orange Flower&Chamomile is a little sweet for me, it lacks the freshness of the Grapefruit&Patchouli.

I love the limited edition fragrances, but I also have to say the freshness of the original Cleanse&Polish is difficult to beat. The limited editions are just as effective at removing make-up while leaving your skin soft as the original, so you really cannot go wrong with any version of Cleanse&Polish.
