Going Crazy for Green: Fall Makeup Look

fall makeup look green eyeshadow H&MOne of the new things I have discovered this fall is moss green eyeshadow. After seeing some amazing looks on beauty blogs and in magazines, I picked up Moss it Over from the New H&M beauty department and have been experimenting with it ever since.

I actually quite like the green eyeshadow: it is a nice change from my standard and safe brown tones, but not nearly as out there as I thought it would be. You can see the H&M shadow is quite pigmented and I have gone for a dark and smokey green look here, using predominantly Moss it Over with a little highlight in the corner of my eye and a dark brown smokey shade along the lash line. Moss it Over also works very well toned down with some beige or bronze colors for a more day appropriate look.

Laat het me weten! Je kunt alle gebruikte producten hieronder vinden.

Thanks so much hun! I really wanted to get the Dior eyeshadow palette with this shade, but decided to go budget in case I didn’t like the colors…

Gorgeous Anne, your skin tones really suits those colours and like you say, it’s nice to change things up a little – plus it works so well with other safe colours too… bronze, gold, browns etc.
I have to say though I do love plum as an autumnal shade! Think it’ll always win 1st place for me πŸ˜€ hehe Great post & as per you are looking stunning… such flawless skin!! XXXXXX

Aaah stop making me blush karen!
Totally agree though, this works well with my safe comfort zone colors πŸ˜€ Must use my plum eyeshadow a little more, that really is a different look. I just found you have to combine it with a flawless base otherwise you look a little ill πŸ˜‰

lol yep, couldn’t agree more!!!! Us pale skinned gals need that perfect base to pull it all off otherwise (like you say) it can look a little stark to say the least lol
You definitely suit the green though, beautiful shade – just wish I had your skin! What’s your secret?!?!?! It’s amazing!! XXX

It’s foundation silly πŸ˜‰ Strangely this is the catrice foundation I don’t really like too much in real life, but it photographs like a dream :S

Not a bit of it… the foundation helps (a little) but below there is a landscape of loveliness… it glows through ya know πŸ˜‰ he he Wish Catrice would launch over here – detesting the fact these brands stick to territories, makes is super frustrating :-/ Have you tried the L’Oreal True Match by any chance? True Match is high on my wishlist after I keep seeing it on blogs. Have heard so much good stuff about it, now for the tricky color matching bit. Did you have this one and if so which one are you? xxx

Ahh me too Anne, all I’ve read is positive about it! Sounds fab!! No I don’t have it and colour matching is ALWAYS an issue for me – will just have to see how I get on, usually ‘Ivory’ is the one I opt for though I have no idea how good the range is – especially for us lighter skinned gals!!! Same here: Loreal tends to be a bit orange on me, which is why I haven’t looked at it properly before. I have to say, when I was in America the Loreal shade ranges were amazing, but I believe our european range is a little more limited. xx

Why on earth do they do that? Super frustrating!! I seem to be the other way – many foundations can seem a little pink. Very odd! Totally given up on Rimmel, however my No 7 (that I keep bleating on about lol) is the only one so far that has been the ideal tone. Still excited to try the True Match – fingers crossed we don’t end up looking like satsuma’s or pink smarties πŸ˜€ haha xxx

Absolutely – the best range of shades in drug stores. The Belfast Boots is aahhhmazing – multiple floors of goodness! The damage we could do in their Anne is dangerous to dwell over lol xxx

Ssssshh, that would seriously damage my bankaccount. I surprised all of my coworkers last year when we attended a conference in the UK and I managed to fill up a basket in 30 minutes at the Boots around the corner πŸ˜‰

I have khaki clothing but I haven’t tried this hue as an eye shadow and probably, it is certainly on my wish list albeit.
