This Season’s hottest eye shadow: Moss it Over

HM High Impact Eye Colour in Moss it Over Green (1)

I am usually a neutral kinda girl when it comes to my eye shadow. Browns, beige tones, and perhaps a hint of pink here and there are definitely my safe zone. I rather surprised myself with a longing for a green eye shadow when fall came around and I ended up purchasing a solo shadow from the new H&M Beauty Department: Moss it Over.

I absolutely love this shade and have been wearing it a lot lately! You might have already heard me raving about it in my go-to fall make-up look here, but I wanted to properly review it as well.

The High Impact Eye Colours are available from H&M in numerous lovely shades and cost $6.99 / £499 / €5,99. The attractive gold rimmed packaging is see through, making it easy to grab the right eye shadow from your stash without having to read the label.

The eye shadow is creamy, pigmented, and easily blendable. I combine it with a primer to get an even deeper shade of green and help the longevity, as this isn’t very long lasting by itself.

I have surprised myself with how much I have worn this. It might be a very seasonal color and not my usual neutral shade, but it works very well in combination with brown tones and looks great with most of my autumn outfits. What do you think: time for green eye shadow or not quite your thing?

This would have been a perfect addition to my Blogmas post today! 😛 I had a browse through the H&M eye shadows and realized that only their singles are made in Italy while the palettes are made in China! I always suspect that singles are higher quality and now I know why! I can’t wait to try their eye shadows…. but I’ll be passing on the palettes I think.

      Oh it would have 😀
That is strange, I hadn’t noticed the difference . A little weird that you would manufacture eyeshadows in two countries, but H&M is always mysterious. I have to say the quality of the singles isn’t that great either, but combined with a decent primer it works so well!

It looks absolutely well pigmented onto your lids rather than to the eye shadow pan and it looks gorgeous on you and I bet to have a nice khaki shade onto the nails too.

It does need a little primer to get that deeper green shade, but it looks amazing 🙂

That is true. Having an eye primer as a base is perfect to keep the eye shadow on your eyes to last longer and also, it helps to project the eye shadow to a well pigmented look.
