No Oil Hair Oil

Percy&Reed Volumising No Oil Oil (1)

Let me be perfectly honest: I cannot live without face oil and adore a great body oil but hair oil is not my thing. My hair is fine and flat and adding oil is not usual a grand idea. I guess that was why I was intrigued by this so-called No Oil Oil from Percy & Reed.

This is meant to add volume to fine hair, while nourishing, restoring, and even protecting your hair from heat. The latter claim seems a little far-fetched to me, since the instructions say you are to use 1 -2 drops for your entire hair. Doesn’t sound like enough to provide proper head protection to me, but maybe I am missing something.

Percy&Reed Volumising No Oil Oil (3)I was still quite excited to try this oil, especially since it has an amazing fresh and floral scent. Unfortunately, I found that even two drops was too much for my hair: it became oily and there was no volume to be seen. The way this works best for me is to just add a drop or two to the dry tips of my hair.

I had high hopes for this, but I really should have known better by now knowing my hair. Will be finishing this slowly though, as I do really like the smell of it. Have you tried this and had better luck? Do let me know!

Laat het me weten!

I have fine hair too and hair oils rarely do anything but leave me greasy. I actually found a Dove hair product that’s a cream with oil in it that works well. Its meant to smooth tour ends though.

Interesting! I’ve tried a couple of hair oils (I really like Bumble & Bumble and Kerastase’s) but my hair is similar to yours so I have to be super careful and only use a tiny little bit on my ends. It’s nice though, especially when my hair is dried out from sun and chlorine!

Oh yes, I have been very interested in Bumble&Bumble but they arent available here easily. I agree, sometimes the tips just need a bit more maintaince. I’ll keep this for that, but it truly doesn’t work on my whole hair. xo

It really is my hair’s fault, but I am glad you do love it! The smell is absolutely amazing 🙂

Wow, I can’t imagine that two drops was more than enough for all of your hair! Sounds intriguing.
