The rather optimistic title already tells you I am ready for spring! It may be a little ways off yet, but I cannot wait for a fresh new look and nice spring shades. Just time for one last little haul this winter, aided with some of my birthday gift cards.
One of my best friends is getting married at the end of the summer – a great excuse for so many things like a new dress, new shoes, new foundation – so the hunt was on for a great setting spray to help me look my best throughout het big day. The infamous Urban Decay All Nighter has been in my wishlist for ages and this was just the excuse I needed to try it. Really looking forward to this one.
Kiko has recently opened a store near me, so I couldn’t resist a little trip inside. I have to be honest, they really seem to cater to a younger crowd with loud music and a really busy store. I did pick up a lovely nail polish on sale and their version of the beauty blender. Curious to see how that will compare to my beloved Real Techniques version.
Oh Lush! Such a tempting store, but I had made myself promise only to buy the one thing I truly needed: Daddy-O. This is a natural clarifying shampoo that I hope will help pick up my blonder highlights and get rid of the slight red tone that has been creeping into my hair lately.
I really hope this concludes my winter shopping, I absolutely cannot wait for sunshine, dresses, and a fresh look.
I like the sound of the Daddy-O shampoo! I’ve never tried Lush’s hair care products so I’m excited to hear what you think of it.

Oh I love lush hair products! They were all I used before I started experimenting with other natural brands but I have never tried Daddy-O! Try their big shampoo, strange texture but amazing effects.

Fabulous haul Anne, I love the look of the little Kiko blending sponge… being a fan of the RT sponge (thanks to your recommendation, hehe) I’m really curious to know how it compares π Hope you have a fab week ahead chum XXXX

Thanks Karen! I am quite curious as well, total impuls buy of course. Don’t you own the actual beauty blender as well? I am really curious about that one as well.
Super busy lately, but I’l manage. Hope you have a great week! xx

I sure do, LOVE the beauty blender Anne but there really isn’t much difference in it and the RT. Thinking I’ll do a YouTube comparison of the two, though I’m pretty sure they’ll end up identical finishes, if anything I like the feel of the RT sponge a little better (I think lol) xxx

Oh nice! Weather here has been impossible: sunny and warm one day, freezing and rainy the next.
The only just opened, so it is quite nice though I have to say the stores are a bit aimed at teenagers…guess I am getting old, but I think the music was insanely loud

Ooh loving your blog redesign! Interested in the UD skin spray, I’ve been wanting to try this (or one from Skindinavia who it’s actually made by) for ages – haven’t ever got on with MAC fix+ etc and the skindinavia ones are meant to be fab! xx

Thanks!!I felt the blog needed a little update.
My previous setting spray is the Skindinavia one and that was awesome. I ran out though, and UD is much easier to get so I thought I would try that.
They are nothing like the Mac Fix…that is like a nice little mist whereas these things set your makeup properly.

I’ll take a look at them again, it’s been years since I considered them because I’ve never tried any mist that’s worked!
