First Impressions: Trilog Age Proof Cleanser

Trilogy Age Proof Active Enzyme Cleansing Cream

Slowly working through my tester stash, I came across my tube of Trilogy Active Enzyme Cleansing Cream. Time to share my first impressions with you.

This cleanser is from Trilogy’s Age Proof range aimed at a more mature skin. Brownie points to Trilogy for not using the silly concept of anti-ageing: like any cream can stop you from actually getting older. The cleanser promises a smoother and brighter complexion, using active fruit enzymes to give a mild exfoliation.

Trilogy Age Proof Active Enzyme Cleansing Cream

This creamy cleanser has a nice thick consistency and removes make-up with ease. It is very gentle and would be well suited to sensitive skins. It leaves the skin clean and smooth, though it doesn’t hydrate on its own like some oil or balm cleansers would.

My tube is a little to small to judge whether the cleanser actually has a long term brightening effect on the skin caused by the mild exfoliation. However, my skin feels smooth and looks lovely with this cleanser.

Another winner from Trilogy for me: a great cleanser suitable for sensitive skin. I would definitely consider getting the full size, because of the mild exfoliation embedded in the cream. First though, I have to work my way through my embarrassingly large hoard of cleansers.

love the fact that it’s not heavily fragranced! and it’s also lovely it works as an exfoliator as well… always good to skip an extra-step in your skincare routine! xx, Annie | Annie’s Beauty

I’ve never heard of the brand Trilogy. This sounds like a good cleanser – it’s always nice to get samples before committing to the full size!

I absolutely love their rosehip oil. Think of Trilogy as Antipodes, but with more subtle fragrance. Some people adore the antipodes scent, while others prefer the less scented Trilogy πŸ™‚

This cleanser sounds amazing! I like that it has a mild exfoliant in it since I often forget to exfoliate and, let’s face it, everyone loves a bit of a time saver. πŸ˜€
I had to smile at your comment about creams being unable to stop anyone from aging! You are so right! Someone asked me the other day if I use anti-aging skincare and I was so puzzled by the question especially considering that I am only 19 but also because it seems so pointless, in a way. While it’s possible that the ingredients could slow down the process, it seems like skincare companies exploit the fact that many people fear aging. I will have to be on the lookout for that cleanser. πŸ™‚ Wonderful review!

I totally agree that having a mild exfoliant in there is a timesaver and you are right, who doesn’t need that!
I cannot believe someone asked you that. You are way to young for that stuff. I believe taking care of your skin properly will help it look better as you age, but anti-ageing? I would like to grow old, thanks very much.

Oh, I didn’t take his question seriously. It was just a rascle I work with who doesn’t think before he does things. πŸ˜„
I completely agree with you about looking after your skin to make it healthier as you get older but, yes, getting older is a natural process. It happens to everyone. It’s nothing to fear. 😊 xx
