Ever since growing my nails after an awful biting habit, I have absolutely adored nail polish. I love experimenting with different colours and brands, but I was definitely curious about the new wave of five free polishes (beauty blogger code for brands without carcinogenic components). When a great offer by Soigne Botanique landed in my inbox, I took it as a sign and ordered some of their polishes.
Besides five free, Soigne uses up to 85% natural ingredients, doesn’t test on animals, and can be used by vegans. Their colours are also right up my alley with deep jewel tones and grey pastel shades. I picked five favorites: deep blue Clitoria Ternatea, intense Glacage Turquoise, pale grey Couvert, taupe Figue, and medium grey Truffe. I’ll be doing posts on each of these shades in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for the swatches, close-ups, and my opinion on the polish formula.
These polishes are normally £11 (about $14.50 or €13), so definitely towards the higher end of the spectrum. It definitely shows in the amazing packaging: each polish comes in a beautiful monochrome cardboard box and is protected by foam inserts that hug the bottle. The bottle itself is equally chique with a small golden accent on the classy tag.
Soigne do a great pick & mix deal were you are allowed to pick three polishes that are delivered in a free gift box for £26. This is already a great deal, but as a newsletter subscriber I received an even better discount so that is worth keeping an eye on when you are considering these polishes. One thing I have to point out is that shipping outside of the UK is quite costly, because nail polish is considered flammable and therefore difficult to ship, but the package arrived very quickly.
I absolutely love the luxury feel of these polishes and I can’t wait to test these out properly. Glacage Turquoise is on my nails right now and the first impressions are great, but I will be putting it through its paces to see how it wears.
