Polish Pick: Couvert by Soigne Botanique

Soigne Botanique Couvert Natural Five Free Nail Polish

My polish pick for the week is the beautiful Couvert by Soigne Botanique. These natural polishes are five free and predominantly natural, but still great to work with. The formula has great consistency, not too runny and easy to apply, and doesn’t smell as chemical as normal polishes.

Couvert is described by Soigne as a subtle autumnal grey. This is one of those tricky colors that change color depending on the lighting conditions and environment: I generally find it has a slightly green undertone, though bright light brings out a little more blue like you can see in the picture.

Lasting power is an interesting discussion. My first Soigne polish Glacage Turquoise lasted a decent three to four days, but Couvert started chipping a little earlier at the end of day two. I am testing a third colour from my haul this week, so I’ll report back to you soon on how that wears.

Couvert is PRETTY! Too bad about the chipping though. Is this anything like Essie Maximillian Strasse-her – darker, bluer?

Figured you would love it: totally up your street (and mine)! It is a lot like Maximillian Strasse her, just a little darker! It has that same strange shift between green and blue depending on the light.

Interesting, it’s like Maximillian Strasse her’s sister! 😛
