Scent is memory and lilacs instantly transport me back to childhood walks with my family through woods filled with purple blossoms. Finding a clean natural lilac perfume isn’t easy, but I thing I have finally found mine in Pacifica’s French Lilac.
Natural beauty brand Pacifica has an entire range of French Lilac products, but I decided to try their solid perfume first. This fragranced blend of coconut and soy wax is suitable for vegans, cruelty free, and completely natural. The cute little tin contains 10 grams of perfume and retails for $9 (£10 or €11.50).
I would describe this as a very clean lilac as I can’t pick up any other tones. It smells very natural to me and comes so very close to my scent memory of a lilac bush in full bloom. I love this, though I can totally imagine that some would feel this scent is a little old fashioned.
The solid perfume lasts quite well on me: a decent four to five hours before it fades. I simply pop the little tin in my purse and reapply half way through the day. You only need a tiny bit of product, so I am very curious to see how long this tin will last.
This lovely floral fragrance has made me really curious about the rest of the Pacifica range. I would love to smell some of the other fragrances, so I’ll be on the lookout for local suppliers. Any recommendations?
