My new party mascara: Max Factor Voluptuous False Lash Effect

Max Factor makes some of my absolute favourite mascaras, even better than some of the high end brands I have tried. They have struck gold again with this Voluptuous version of my much beloved False Lash Effect mascara.

I love the packaging of Voluptuous: the beautiful gold pattern over a petrol base looks stunning. Every mascara from the False Lash range adds volume while keeping lashes separate for a great full effect, but Voluptuous had a unique brush that helps lift the lashes and adds even more volume. I tried to capture the unique twisting shape of the fat brush, but it was quite tricky. I initially thought the brush might make it tricky to catch those finer lashes in the inner corner, but I have had no issues using the tip of the brush for those.

I absolutely love the effect of this mascara: it really gives your lashes a great boost of volume while keeping the lashes separated nicely. In the photo, you can see a single coat of Voluptuous mascara. For me, this mascara is great for parties or special occasions when you are looking for something a little extra. I find it just a little much for me on a day to day basis, though it certainly depends on your job and the look you are going for.

This mascara is perfect for the upcoming party season and I will be using this a lot for those end of year drinks and parties. Another winner from Max Factor!

I miss Max Factor! It’s no longer sold in Canada…I remember really liking the waterproof 2000 calorie mascara. And their nail polishes were my first nail polish loves!
