Blue love: Soigne Clitoria Ternatea five free polish

Soigne Botanique Clitoria Ternatea five free nail polish

Lovely deep blue nail polish, silly name! Google informed me Clitoria Ternatea is a plant with beautiful blue flowers in the same hue as the polish, so the name makes sense for a company like Soigne producing natural nail polish. Still, not the easiest to remember or type, so perhaps the brand should spend a little more time on thinking up suitable yet cute names.

This is a lovely polish though! I absolutely love the deep blue hue of this nail polish, a very versatile shade that will work well with loads of fall and winter outfits. I have an feeling this might be on my nails quite a bit in the coming months.

This botanical polish is five free, meaning it has been stripped of the most nasty chemicals normally found in polish. It has a lovely consistency that is easy to apply and needs to coats to reach a deep blue shade. I would definitely recommend wearing a base coat to prevent any colour transfer to your nails (personally, I always wear a base coat anyway to help my weaker nails). Given the lack of harsher components, this polish also lasts quite well: three days without chipping on my nails (for comparison: Essie will last about four to five days).

Another beauty by Soigne, which is really a great natural brand. It doesn’t seem to be very well known, which is a shame as the packaging and polishes are both lovely.

Haha yes, the name is pretty terrible! But I’m glad it does relate back to the shade. The colour is a great one for this time of the year too!

Such a pretty shade and dark colours are more suitable to use this time of the year. Smashing!
