Dimensions de Chanel Mascara: review and giveaway reminder

Dimensions de Chanel mascara 10 black.JPG

There is something about the fancy black and white Chanel packaging that sets my heart racing. I was really exited to try their new Dimensions de Chanel Mascara. I’ll give you a quick review of the mascara in this post, but you could try it for yourself! I am currently running a giveaway to celebrate my second blogiversary and the prize includes a lovely mini of this mascara. Excited? Read all the details right here.

Dimensions de Chanel is actually a love all-round mascara.Having never tried a mascara by Chanel before, I was really impressed with the results. It lengthens and separates the lashes nicely with a big brush and adds a little volume and curl without going overboard. I think the overall result is a lovely day time mascara with a perfect mix of everything you want in a single layer.

You can achieve more volume and length by adding additional layers and the mascara formula does lend itself to layering. However, the result will remain fairly modest: this will never give you a bold fake lash look for a night out. I would reach for a different mascara to achieve that (like Max Factor’s Voluptuous False Lash Effect), but this is a great choice for day time make-up looks.

Chanel has also added some great beneficial ingredients – like emolients, peptides, and vitamins – to take care of your lashes. The formula feels soft on the lashes but lasts well throughout the day, though it isn’t waterproof. It will deal with a few drops of rain just fine, but won’t withstand a downpour.

The Dimensions de Chanel mascara is the perfect choice for defined but subtle lashes. Want a chance to try it yourself? Just enter my giveaway right here for a shot at my beauty box containing a mini of this mascara as well as some other goodies.

It’s nice perhaps but I’ll stick to my Clump Defy mascara by Max Factor. I’m a huge fan for a couple of years now!

I’ve never tried a Chanel mascara but I would have expected something va va voom from them! I prefer volume in my mascaras, typically.

Ha, I reviewed this on Friday! I kinda felt the same as you, I think modest results is a great way to put it, I expected more from a mascara that’s £25!
